The UC Davis Pre-College Program is academically rigorous and designed for talented, motivated, high-achieving students who are currently completing their sophomore or junior year of high school and will be at least 16 years old by the program start date. Unfortunately we cannot accept anyone who is 18 or will be turning 18 during the period of the program. Though there are no set minimum requirements (such as a minimum GPA), your application materials should demonstrate strong initiative and academic ability, and the maturity necessary for participating in a residential program on a university campus.
We're looking for students who have a passion for learning and who will make valuable intellectual and social contributions to the program. In making admissions decisions, we evaluate all of your application materials (personal statements, transcripts and letters of recommendation, not just your GPA) to ensure we have a well-rounded picture of who you are and what you can achieve in the program.
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis. Once an application is complete, it generally takes about 10 business days for an admissions decision to be made.
The program does not offer academic credit.
