While the UC Davis Pre-College Program is a non-credit program, it is academically rigorous. Grades are not assigned but we expect students to be meaningfully engaged in their learning and to demonstrate maturity and respect in their interactions with fellow students, faculty, program and other campus staff, and all others whom they encounter during their time at UC Davis.
Successful completion of the program depends upon attendance of all program components, full participation in classroom and other activities, and adherence to the program's standards of student conduct.
We are committed to academic integrity, our standards of conduct and the UC Davis "Principles of Community" and expect that same commitment from our students. Violation of these policies and standards of behavior may lead to dismissal from the Pre-College Program.
Students are not graded but are expected to adhere to the ideals of honesty, fairness, and integrity expressed in the UC Davis Code of Academic Conduct.
The University of California's Policy on Student Conduct and Discipline describes expected standards of behavior and identifies actions that are limited or prohibited on campus.
Principles of Community
The UC Davis Principles of Community set forth ideals and expectations for campus interactions. Members of our community are expected to treat each other with respect and dignity, to refrain from displays of inappropriate anger or intimidating conduct, to shun epithets or abusive language, and to find effective means to disagree, to persuade and to inform through rational discussion. Although the Principles of Community are not enforced by punishment unless the act is a crime or breach of conduct standards, the Principles provide guidance for engaging in behavior and interactions which align with our community values. All participants in the UC Davis Pre-College Program will be expected to uphold these values.
